Antarctic Mineral Exploitation Moratorium;amdt. Line 1:

EDM number 651A1 in 1990-91, proposed by Tony Banks on 15/04/1991.

leave out from 'House' to end and add 'acknowledges that all the environmental arguments point to a minerals prohibition in the Antarctic; and calls on the Government to ensure that the moratorium on minerals prospecting is not linked to the minerals convention, CRAMRA, or its successor, and to ensure that such a moratorium can only be lifted by a consensus of all the Antartic Treaty Consultative parties.'.
