Anglo-Irish Agreement 5 Years On;amdt. Line 3:

EDM number 69A1 in 1990-91, proposed by Harry Barnes on 15/11/1990.

leave out from 'Ireland' to end and add ';believes that any alterations to and replacement of the Anglo-Irish agreement must command the confidence of the people of Northern Ireland and should be buttressed by devolved government, a bill of rights to guarantee social and political rights to all citizens and integrated education; further believes that progress towards peace and democracy in Northern Ireland requires strong efforts to challenge simplistic solutions, to raise public awareness, to challenge ambivalence and apathy about the right to life and to oppose terror from whatever quarter it comes; and therefore warmly welcomes proposals to form a British branch of the Irish group New Consensus, committed to the above aims and open to men and women of all parties and none.'.

This is a ammendment to 69.
