Human Rights Violations In Kashmir

EDM number 715 in 1990-91, proposed by Jimmy Dunnachie on 17/04/1991.

That this House condemns the atrocities being committed by members of the Indian Army against Kashmiri citizens in their country; calls upon the Indian Government to instruct all members of its armed forces personnel to undertake whatever action is necessary to cease immediately all such human rights violations against the people of Kashmir; and further calls on Her Majesty's Government as a matter of urgency to use its influence as a leading member of the United Nations to instigate an immediate investigation into these horrific happenings.
