Questions On Severn Bridges

EDM number 720 in 1990-91, proposed by Alan Williams on 17/04/1991.

That this House regards as arrogant contempt the Parliamentary Answer from the Secretary of State for Transport to the Right honourable Member for Swansea West on Monday 15th April; notes that the Minister used the device of grouping three separate questions then providing a single answer which related only to the first of these, completely ignoring the points raised in the other two; is angry that when asked the Department insisted that the answer also was intended to cover the other two, so blocking further questions; and asks the Leader of the House to fulfil his role as custodian of the rights of Right honourable and honourable Members by requiring the Department to provide the information asked for in all these Parliamentary Questions, especially as the information is directly relevant to the Severn Bridges Bill currently before this House.
