Future Of The City Of Liverpool

EDM number 850 in 1990-91, proposed by David Alton on 16/05/1991.

That this House calls on those responsible for the industrial dispute currently affecting services provided by Liverpool City Council to reconsider their actions, to recognise that confrontation and antedeluvian industrial attitudes will not solve the city's real problems, and that the only people who suffer from these actions are the residents themselves; and calls upon the city's politicians and government ministers to consider together what action can be taken to reduce Liverpool's ú800 million debt, to let its 13,000 empty properties and to promote its many advantages and strengths.

This motion has been signed by a total of 4 MPs.
