That this House warns potential customers against the punitive sales practices of Searchlight Electric Ltd., Water Street, Manchester, who impose a substantial 20 per cent. charge on customers wishing to exchange goods, even when the exchange is for a more expensive item on which the customer pays the difference; and advises shoppers that they would do better to patronise retailers who have a more accommodating attitude towards exchanges, do not fine customers for making such exchanges and treat customers with suitable courtesy.
