Growing Concern (Strathclyde)

That this House congratulates the staff and trainees of 'Growing Concern (Strathclyde)' on the success of their open day on 16th May 1991; commends Strathclyde Regional Council for establishing this important initiative to train people with disabilities and/or learning difficulties for open and integrated employment; and calls on the Government to provide additional funds to promote the development of employment and training projects which emphasise ability rather than disability, and which help people with special needs achieve their personal potential to contribute to the economic and social life of the community.
