Albanians In Yugoslavia

EDM number 210 in 1991-92, proposed by George Galloway on 19/11/1991.

That this House, noting the fact that the conflict in Yugoslavia goes much wider than the fighting between Serbs and Croats, conscious of the situation in Macedonia and Bosnia Hercegovina, where bitter repression is the order of the day, and noting the especially awful maltreatment being meted out by Siberia to the three million strong Albanian minority mainly in the Kosovo, wherein murder, torture, mass imprisonment, sackings and harassment are everyday occurrences, calls on Her Majesty's Government to remain vigilant to the horrific abuses being committed away from the media spotlight in Yugoslavia and to insist that in the break up of that country, the rights of all nationalities involved be protected.

This motion has been signed by a total of 20 MPs.
