Deer Farming In Scotland

EDM number 240 in 1991-92, proposed by Menzies Campbell on 22/11/1991.

That this House recognises the useful contribution which deer farming makes to agriculture in Scotland but regrets the failure of Her Majesty's Government to extend hill livestock compensatory amounts to farmed deer which has the effect of penalising a potentially valuable form of diversification, the end product of which is extremely healthy and nutritious; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to provide proper support for deer farming as an integral part of agriculture in Scotland.

This motion has been signed by a total of 26 MPs.
