ST GEORGE'S CHURCH, CAMBERWELL
EDM number 294 in 1991-92, proposed by Harriet Harman on 28/11/1991.
That this House recognises that the early nineteenth-century church of St. Georges's in Camberwell, one of the architectural landmarks of South East London and a listed building, is now in danger of collapse; and calls on the Government to support the housing scheme of the Co-operative Dwelling Society, which would allow the exterior of the church to be restored to its former glory whilst producing much-needed local housing.
