Lancashire Metro Scheme

That this House congratulates Lancashire Liberal Democrats and Blackburn Borough Council for promoting a feasibility study into providing Metro rapid transit rail and bus service for Lancashire; and urges the Government to study environmentally-friendly and sustainable alternatives to the massive and expensive road proposals for the county.
