Lwt Promotion Of Conservative Policy On London

EDM number 388 in 1991-92, proposed by Harry Cohen on 12/12/1991.

That this House condemns London Weekend Television for political bias in arranging a lecture on London by the Environment Secretary and broadcasting it without any equivalent time for Labour policies for London to be promoted; notes that to date Conservative Ministers have not presented to Parliament any co-ordinated plans for the future of London and so concludes that the broadcast amounts to little more than a party political broadcast; and suspects that this bias is the price LWT has had to pay for its franchise.

This motion has been signed by a total of 28 MPs.
