Transferable Discount Housing Schemes

EDM number 684 in 1991-92, proposed by Dafydd Wigley on 17/02/1992.

That this House notes that applicants for transferable discount housing schemes in the South East of England are currently purchasing property in areas such as Wales; believes that such action further reduces the level of affordable housing for first-time buyers in Wales; and calls on the Government to stipulate that any applicant buying private sector property under transferable discount schemes must purchase property within the area that such schemes are operational.
