Ravenscraig, The Scottish National Party And Jobs In Scotland

EDM number 751 in 1991-92, proposed by Bill Walker on 26/02/1992.

That this House notes that the Scottish National Party proposes to use failed Eastern European Socialist practices by nationalising Ravenscraig; and further notes that their separatist policy would lead to the loss of United Kingdom defence orders for Ferranti International, Barr and Stroud, Babcock Thorn, Rolls Royce, Shell Nederland, GEC Ferranti and the closure of RAF Leuchars, RAF Kinloss, RAF Edzell, RAF Buchan, RAF Saxa-Vord, R.N. Rosyth, R.N. Coulport, R.N. Faslane, R.N. Prestwick, Royal Marines Condor Arbroath, RNAW Almondbank, Perthshire, and 18 Group Headquarters, Pitreavie, Fife, leading to the loss of about 30,000 jobs in Scotland.

This motion has been signed by a total of 4 MPs.
