Conduct Of The Hon Member For Gordon.

EDM number 80 in 1991-92, proposed by Bill Walker on 05/11/1991.

That this House notes that the honourable Member for Gordon has complained to the Scottish media about the small number of Scottish Bills currently before Parliament; and further notes that a study of sessional returns shows that the honourable Member and other Liberal Democrat honourable Members have regularly failed to attend many of the standing committees to which they have been summoned, thus justifying the description of being part-time honourable Members who seem to spend more time in television and radio studios than in House of Commons committee rooms where the real parliamentary work of amending Bills and the scrutiny of legislation takes place.
