Macsharry Farm Proposals And Reform Of The Common Agricultural Policy

EDM number 832 in 1991-92, proposed by William Cash on 09/03/1992.

That this House, conscious of the difficulties faced by British farmers in the context of the Common Agriculture Policy of the European Community, and the continuing refusal by other countries in the Community to make reforms necessary to reflect the efficiency of the British farmers, calls on Her Majesty's Government to continue to press for the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy to reject all unnecessary and unacceptable legislative proposals generated by the European Commission which add further costs to the British farmers and to reject the MacSharry proposals which are so damaging to the interest and incomes of British farmers and the rural economy of Britain.

This motion has been signed by a total of 4 MPs.
