Gatt Proposals For Multilateral Trade Ogranisation
EDM number 1049 in 1992-93, proposed by Simon Hughes on 10/12/1992.
That this House views with concern existing proposals contained in the Draft Final Act of the Uruguay Round of GATT for a new Multilateral Trade Organisation, because these proposals fail to embody any commitment to promote environmental protection and the eradication of poverty; deplores the fact that these proposals have so far received scant public attention; and calls on Her Majesty's Government to promote a full public debate on the matter.
This motion has been signed by a total of 13 MPs.
