Gloucestershire County Council Budget 1993/94

That this House congratulates Conservative, Liberal Democrat, Independent and Labour Councillors on Gloucestershire County Council for putting the needs of the county's people first by setting a budget, unanimously, in excess of the arbitrary capping limit imposed by the Government; believes this budget will protect essential services such as education and social services and will provide resources for the police to continue their fight against rising crime; and calls on Her Majesty's Government to respect local wishes and refrain from capping Gloucestershire County Council.
