Greek Ecclesiastical Heritage In Northern Cyprus;amdt. Line 1:

EDM number 1564A1 in 1992-93, proposed by Anthony Grant on 16/03/1993.

leave out from 'to' to end and add 'Turkish-Cypriot mosques and other ecclesiastical buildings in Cyprus through neglect, vandalism, and random or systematic destruction; notes that when the Greek-Cypriots controlled the whole of Cyprus, from 1963 to 1974, they turned mosques and other Turkish-Cyprus religious buildings into car parks; notes that with very limited resources available to them, the Turkish-Cypriot authorities in the north of Cyprus have taken action to protect the Christian heritage from vandals and international criminals and that President Denktash has paid out of his own pocket for gates to be erected at one Christian church; and calls upon the international community to send experts and financial resources to help the Turkish-Cypriot authorities to protect the important Islamic and Christian heritage located in Northern Cyprus.'.
