Families Against Intimidation And Terror

EDM number 1713 in 1992-93, proposed by Harry Barnes on 30/03/1993.

That this House congratulates Families Against Intimidation and Terror for its continuing work in highlighting the abuses of human rights carried out by paramilitary terror gangs on both sides of the sectarian divide; accepts that the vast majority of human rights, such as the right to live without fear of being attacked, the right to free speech, the right to be treated with dignity and the right to a fair and legal trial, are threatened by paramilitary death squads; welcomed FAIT's poster campaign which aims to show nationalist and loyalist paramilitaries in their true light; and recognises the invaluable role that FAIT is playing, with other groups and individuals, in the broader Irish and British peace movements.

This motion has been signed by a total of 19 MPs.
