leave out from 'Europe' to end and add 'and notes that in the latest vital European vote in the early hours of Thursday 22nd April the Scottish Labour honourable Members fragmented in three directions with 23 following their front bench into the lobbies to save the Prime Minister's political bacon, 14 voting against the Government to allow the people a popular vote on the Maastricht Treaty and the Social Chapter, while the remaining 12 were either unable to vote or were sent home to bed to avoid the embarrassment of following the Prime minister into the division lobbies; and further notes the blatant inconsistency between Labour's official position of now calling for a referendum on the Scottish question but denying the Scottish constitutional principle of popular sovereignty on the European question.'.
