That this House notes the 12th anniversary on 20th June 1993 of the start of the popular nationwide resistance of Iranian citizens against the autocratic religious dictatorship of the mullah-led government in Iran; remembers with horror that over 100,000 innocent Iranians have been executed by the Iranian Government and that some 150,000 political prisoners have been jailed; expresses its abhorrence of the continued despotism and suppression of human rights in Iran; condemns the export of terrorism abroad; and believes that Iran must move towards a full democratic state which would permit the involvement of the Iranian National Council of Resistance in Political Affairs within Iran.
