British Rail Services In Norfolk

EDM number 2200 in 1992-93, proposed by Nick Harvey on 22/06/1993.

That this House notes with concern the growing evidence of British Rail announcing cutbacks in timetables ahead of privatisation; notes, in particular, the admission by British Rail that they propose to withdraw all Sunday services on the Norwich to Sheringham line in Norfolk when they introduce the winter timetable in October but recognises the severe financial constraints being placed on British Rail by the drastic cuts in Government funding; and calls on the Government to act now so as to help British Rail preserve these vital services.

This motion has been signed by a total of 15 MPs.
