Students And Democracy

EDM number 2203 in 1992-93, proposed by Teddy Taylor on 23/06/1993.

That this House expresses its sympathy and understanding to the officials of the Conservative Students Organisation who felt obliged to resign following the appointment of their full time official; and believes that it does not promote the true spirit of democracy to students in any political body if the candidate for whom they express majority support in a ballot is rejected by bureacracy and replaced with another.
