Rabies And Quarantine Regulations

EDM number 228 in 1992-93, proposed by David Shaw on 10/06/1992.

That this House welcomes the robust approach of Her Majesty's Government on rabies control throughout Europe; congratulates BBC2 for its documentary programme, First Sight, on 14th May for its balanced approach to this highly important and difficult issue; notes the increasing number of animal, farming, food, sporting and veterinary organisations which firmly believe that the existing quarantine regulation must be maintained; and insists that no changes which diminish the country's protection from rabies should be entertained.

This motion has been signed by a total of 20 MPs.
