Ministerial Visit To Liverpool Hospitals

That this House urges the Secretary of State for Health to re-arrange her forthcoming visit to Liverpool to include Broadgreen Accident and Emergency Unit, the Royal Liverpool Hospital and Walton Hospital; notes that 170,000 Liverpool people have signed protest petitions which have been delivered to Downing Street opposing the closure of Broadgreen Accident and Emergency Unit; and believes that the Minister should urgently respond to the cross-party concerns voiced about NHS facilities on Merseyside by seeing the affected hospitals for herself.
