Racism In Britain

EDM number 2446 in 1992-93, proposed by Joan Ruddock on 18/10/1993.

That this House expresses outrage at the increase in racial violence in Britain, repugnance at the election of a member of the fascist British National Party, to the London Borough of Tower Hamlets Council; condemns any politicians, including honourable Members, who collude with or support racism in any form; remembers all those tragically killed by racists in Britain; expresses deep concern for Quaddus Ali, still gravely ill as the result of a racist attack; and calls on politicians of all parties to commit themselves to anti-racist deeds as well as words.
