leave out from 'dark' to end and add 'evenings that unnecessarily constrain afternoon activities for children and pensioners; recalls with regret the pointless additional winter road deaths in Scotland and elsewhere in the United Kingdom; notes that Scottish farmers and builders retain the freedom to set the starting time for milking and building; and reminds the reluctant that the decision should be based on the national benefits of daylight later in the day.'.
