EDM number 2559 in 1992-93, proposed by Martin Redmond on 01/11/1993.
That this House condemns the Government whose legislation imprisons in Lincoln Jail a pensioner of 79 years of age over a small debt of poll tax, whilst at the same time the Serious Fraud Office can offer no evidence against the former Chief Accountant of Polly Peck on the grounds that it would be unjust to proceed against him in the absence of his former boss Asil Nadir.
This motion has been signed by a total of 51 MPs.
