That this House recognises the considerable effort that had been made by all concerned in the difficult process of finding an acceptable solution for the former depositors of BCCI; is concerned that there is now widespread anxiety that the proposals put forward jointly by the Abu Dhabi Government and the liquidators will not result in an acceptable level of compensation for the former depositors and former members of staff; calls on the liquidators to seek additional assurances and compensation; and hopes that the discussions will proceed in such a way that will bring the creditors in as part of the negotiation team and enable full disclosure to be made of all reports that have been commissioned in the last three months.
