Halt In Plutonium Production

EDM number 515 in 1992-93, proposed by Paul Flynn on 15/07/1992.

That this House welcomes the announcement by President Bush on 13th July to formalise the halt in the dedicated production of nuclear explosive materials, including plutonium and highly enriched uranium, for military use; declares its disappointment that the Ministry of Defence has not agreed to a parallel fissile nuclear materials production freeze in the United Kingdom; and calls on the Government to instruct British Nuclear Fuels to halt the production of nuclear materials for nuclear warhead use.

This motion has been signed by a total of 30 MPs.
