Proposed Amalgamation Of Highfields Youth And Community Centre And The Moat Centre In The City Of Leicester

EDM number 551 in 1992-93, proposed by Jim Marshall on 24/09/1992.

That this House condemns the decision of Tory and Liberal Democratic councillors on Leicestershire County Council to proceed with the amalgamation of the Highfields Youth and Community Centre and the Moat Centre, formerly Moat Boys Centre, in the face of continuing and increasing local opposition; believes this is indicative of their total contempt for local opinion; and further illustrates, if such illustration were necessary, how out of touch they are with the views of those people living in the Highfields area of the City of Leicester.

This motion has been signed by a total of 16 MPs.
