Phasing Out Of Methyl Bromide By The Year 2000

That this House expresses its deep concern that Her Majesty's Government supports an EC position which accepts only a freezing of current consumption levels of the ozone layer depleting chemical methyl bromide; and calls on Her Majesty's Government to support the United States of America's proposal for a phase out of methyl bromide when the matter is before the Montreal Protocol in Copenhagen on the 23rd and 25th of November.
