Macedonia
EDM number 878 in 1992-93, proposed by Peter Fry on 18/11/1992.
That this House urges Her Majesty's Government to use its best efforts to secure the earliest recognition of that portion of the former Republic of Yugoslavia known as Macedonia as an independent sovereign state; and, bearing in mind the present desperate economic and social situation there, further urges her Majesty's Government to use its influence to help ensure a regular flow of the oil needed to sustain the essential needs of the population and their economy.
