Green Pound

EDM number 950 in 1992-93, proposed by Paul Tyler on 25/11/1992.

That this House, recognising that Her Majesty's Government accepted the case for an immediate devaluation of the green pound to compensate British farmers for the loss in value for their products consequent upon the withdrawal of ú sterling from the Exchange Rate Mechanism on 16th Septemebr, deplores the delay of over three months before Ministers fully secure the necessary 15 per cent. devaluation; and calls upon them to seek an agreed second devaluation immediately.

This motion has been signed by a total of 12 MPs.
