Beveridge Report

That this House, on the fiftieth anniversary of the publication of the Beveridge Report, notes the deplorable state of the National Health Service with increasing charges for eye and dental treatment and prescriptions, with overlong waiting lists and poor morale among both health care professionals and patients; and urges the Government to embrace the true spirit of the Beveridge reforms and to act to protect the health of the nation.
