Youth Service

EDM number 115 in 1993-94, proposed by Tony Lloyd on 26/11/1993.

That this House notes that the Youth Service plays a vital role in preventing crime and provides very positive chances for young people to gain skills and grow in confidence, which benefit young people and the rest of society; further notes this excellent service is being devastated by cuts; and therefore calls on the Government to bring forward legislation which guarantees a statutory basis for the Service.
