That this House congratulates Newcastle United Football Club on a most successful 1993-94 season; considers that Newcastle United should be awarded the title of most improved club, having achieved third position in the Premier League in their first season; applauds the hard work of all connected with the club and in particular the supporters for their loyalty, enthusiasm and exemplary behaviour at home and away, and looks forward to the continued success of Newcastle United whose attractive playing style has brought honour to the game, great pleasure to all true football supporters and immense pride to the city and the region.
