Inter-City Trains From London To Liverpool And Manchester
EDM number 1238 in 1993-94, proposed by Robert Parry on 17/05/1994.
That this House is appalled at the notice of the withdrawal of the 23.30 InterCity service from London to Liverpool to be replaced by a 22. 15 train; recalls that this ending of the sleeper service from Euston to Liverpool met with strong protests from businessmen, students, honourable Members of Parliament and the public; and calls upon British Rail to review the situation and maintain the present service which would allow all who wish to visit the capital a good service to two of the great cities in the North West and a service in line with InterCity travel.
