Euthanasia;amdt. Line 1:

EDM number 1273A2 in 1993-94, proposed by Gary Waller on 26/05/1994.

leave out from 'House' to end and add 'notes that the survey published in a recent issue of the British Medical Journal was not based on a fair statistical sample, since it was dependent on a self-selecting group who responded to give their views; observes that it does not provide a reliable picture of the views of the medical profession; believes that the rejection of the practice of euthanasia by the BMA's Annual Conference in June 1993 by a margin of over four to one provides a more accurate reflection of the attitudes of doctors; and applauds the thoughtful and authoritative report of the House of Lords Select Committee on Medical Ethics and its unanimous rejection of the legalisation of euthanasia.'.

This is a ammendment to 1273.
