Amalgam Fillings

EDM number 1481 in 1993-94, proposed by Liz Lynne on 11/07/1994.

That this House is concerned by the apparent confusion over the health effects of the use by dentists of mercury-based amalgam fillings; notes the anxiety and uncertainty that this causes in the public mind; and calls on the Government to set up a public inquiry to conduct a thorough and independent study of the health implications of the use of amalgam and to do so without delay.
