Tobacco Advertising And The Former Prime Minister

That this House notes with dismay that the former British Prime Minister who spoke out against the use of tobacco, when holding that position, is now among those involved in a highly paid profile advertising campaign targeting the youth in South East Asian countries to take up smoking thereby becoming the next generation of tobacco smokers; concludes that this action is an example of double standards; and calls on the former Prime Minister to cease this cynical and destructive campaign against the vulnerable children of the Third World.
