Downing Street Gates

EDM number 1680 in 1993-94, proposed by Jamie Cann on 28/10/1994.

That this House welcomes the progress made so far in the Northern Ireland peace process; congratulates the Prime Minister on his achievements to date and the Leader of the Opposition for his steadfast support; remembers the time when Downing Street was open to all members of the public; and suggests it is now an appropriate time to remove the security gates which disfigure Downing Street at present.

This motion has been signed by a total of 18 MPs.
