EDM number 25 in 1993-94, proposed by Simon Hughes on 18/11/1993.
That this House views with concern the Government's intention to make significant cuts in the level of Section 11 funding; notes the positive contribution that such funding gives in empowering ethnic minority members of the community through education provision; recognises the effects that such cuts will have on race relations and racial equality; and calls on the Government to reject economic expediency and reverse the proposed cuts.
