Merseyside Electricity Supply Failure

EDM number 264 in 1993-94, proposed by Eddie Loyden on 14/12/1993.

That this House expresses its deep concern at the effect of the failure in electricity supply on a large part of Merseyside including hospitals, schools and homes as well as businesses; notes that such failures undermine public confidence in the electricity supply industry; and calls for a full investigation into the cause and for the Government to take such steps as will safeguard the industry from future failures.

This motion has been signed by a total of 26 MPs.
