That this House is shocked by the untimely and early death of the Norwegian Foreign Minister Johan Joergen Holst; expresses its great appreciation of his untiring efforts for peace and international security over many years as an academic and politician; applauds in particular his role in the historic agreement between the PLO and Israel for which he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize; and offers its deep condolences to his family, his colleagues in the Norwegian Labour Party and the people of Norway.
