FOREIGN SECRETARY'S VISIT TO TURKEY

EDM number 362 in 1993-94, proposed by Jeremy Corbyn on 17/01/1994.

That this House hopes that the Foreign Secretary will raise the question of Press freedom during his forthcoming visit to Turkey; and specifically requests that he urge the Turkish authorities to release journalists held whilst trying to report events in Kurdistan and encourage them to cease interference in the publication of Ozgur Gundem.
