That this House notes the Government's intention to make sustainable development the touchstone of its policies and that this will involve a radical change in the direction of economic policy; notes also the announcement of the Secretary of State for Scotland, simultaneously with the publication of government documents on Sustainable Development, Climate Change, Biodiversity and Forestry, to set up a Scottish body of experts to advise on sustainable development initiatives; condemns the Secretary of State for Wales for his failure to make any such announcement; and calls upon him to set up a Welsh body to advise on sustainable development initiatives for Wales.
