That this House is appalled at the proposals of Leicestershire Social Services to close Goodwood House, Leicester; considers that the care and support given to the residents of Goodwood House over the last few decades has been exceptional; and believes that the only course of action which will preserve the quality of life of the residents of Goodwood House and the jobs of the staff will be if the county council rejects the proposals and keeps such homes open.
