That this House deplores the fact that Labour-controlled Derbyshire County Council allowed Councillor Sean Stafford to continue to serve as Chair of the Finance Committee whilst serving a prison sentence for defrauding Derbyshire County Council of ú13,000; notes that he has now been forced to resign having lost his appeal; demands that he repay the ú1,231 which he was paid in members' allowances whilst in prison; and calls for the honourable Member for Blackburn to publicly condemn the actions of his party's group on Derbyshire County Council.
